Not having been boosted only changes the amount of days before your cruise to get a nagative test.

The child will only have two days before the cruise instead of three.

No biggie.

If the kids have had the two doses, they would be classed as fully vaccinated so wouldn't that mean they can have the test 3 days before??

If the child is not eligible for a booster dose, they can test 3 days before.

5-11 is eligible for their first booster "at least 5 months after the final dose in the primary series".

We sailed with my 7yo who had the final dose in his primary series but was not  yet eligible for the booster and tested 3 days out.

If the child had their final dose more than 5 months ago than they are eligible and must test 2 days out.

Fully vaxxed plus a booster if eligible is the requirement for 3 days out.

ETA - unless travelling to Canada but the OP isn't.

Thanks, we have the extended family going next month on the Mardi Gras and everyone is in a different vaccination status. My wife and I have both had a booster but are eligible for a second booster. My daughter and her husband have not had a booster but are eligible and the grandkids are still not quite eligible for a booster but will be at sailing time.  So the question was , Who is considered fully vaccinated and there was no consensus so we decided to go with the 2 day prior test and hopefully all will be ok for boarding.
