Springhill Suites downtown

Staying one night before cruise, would this area be secure walking to Space Neddle or Pike place. Also lookinh for close retaurant reccomendation.

You're about a mile's walk (on generally very busy streets) from both the Pike Place market and Seattle Center.  

 

In terms of "close" restaurant recommendations, you'll have to define "close" pretty liberally.  The hotel is in an area with a lot of office buildings (and next to a freeway) so not too many restaurants for visitors.  I think there's a pizza place close by; haven't been there.

Since this is the "West Coast Departures" Forum, why don't people include the city there are talking about in the title, like "Springhill Suites Downtown Seattle"?

I'm a local and this hotel is not in a great area.  Its on the very fringe of downtown next to the freeway and while you can walk places its not the ideal location for sightseeing.

Does anyone know if this hotel is within walking distance to a monorail station.

Not what I'd consider easy walking distance, but sure you could walk to one.

There are only two "monorail" stations, the one next to the Space Needle and the one at Westlake Center.  Or are you referring to a light rail station?  If so, the closest one is also at Westlake (underground as opposed to the monorail station, which is on the third floor of the building.)  Both the Westlake stations are around half a mile from the Springhill Suites.
