Rome FCO to Civitavecchia transfer options

We are flying into FCO n 8/26 and will be going straight on to Civitavecchia prior to our cruise. Would appreciate feedback from anyone who has made this transfer recently. We have done the train before from Trastavere,  but we’d prefer not to take that option this time. We’ll be staying in a hotel in Civitavecchia for a couple of days before we sail. Thanks so much!

I would recommend Romecabs, we've used them several times, always accurate & polite. They were waiting for us at the airport and last time when we got off the ship, the driver was there to pick us up.

Happy sailing.

I second www.RomeCabs.com. That is the only company I will use for transportation in Rome or Florence.  Very reliable and competitive prices.

check with your hotel in the port, many of them operate a mini bus from the airport to the hotel( you might have to hang around at the airport for a while for other passengers arriving. ) they will then transfer you to the ship on sailing day.

HOTEL SAN GIORGIO CIVITAVECCHIA

this is where we stayed

best regards

We stayed there as well and thought it was quite nice.  WE opted for a package that picked us up at the airport, had dinner and breakfast and included the transfer to the ship.

I have just booked RomeCabs for the trip from the airport to port.   We are actually arriving a day earlier and staying at the airport Hilton, thanks to recommendations from this board.  The driver will pick us up at the hotel lobby mid day on departure date.   the fare for the 2 of us in a private car is 130 euro.   It may be RomaCabs, not sure.

That sounds about right.  You will not be disappointed with RomeCabs.
