Spending OBC in the Casino

Recommended Posts

Sorry, I can't find any somewhat recent posts in the search engine.
We have $700 in OBC - not from cancelled cruises, but from early saver price difference during the anniversary sale.

Has anyone successfully used their OBC at the casino recently?
If so, how exactly do you go about doing this?

We cruise at the beginning of August, and I am trying to figure out, for sure, what we are going to do with our remaining OBC (we started out with $1k, but purchased an excursion).

Thanks, in advance.

We did recently on the Glory. You can either put it on the slots, and then cash out. Or put it on your card at the tables. But that costs a 3% surcharge.

What I have done in the past is transfer OBC to a slot machine, played one pull, then cashed out.  Took the receipt to the cashier and got cash.  YMMV.

How would I transfer OBC to a slot machine? Would I need to go to the casino cage to do so? Or guest services?

You can spend the OBC in the casino no problem. If you're looking to get cash. Have heard that you can just get cash out of the kiosks now. Have not tried this however.

I'm not looking to just cash it out. I think DH and DS would love to have casino time, and if we can use our OBC to do so, that would be great. If they win, even better, and yes, we would probably cash out some of it.

No just put your card in the slot machine and tell it how much you want to draw out of your S&S account. It will automatically draw from your OBC first.

When you put your card in a machine, you create an account. Basically, creating a PIN. And then you can add money onto that account. And then play.

We had the same thing happen on our March,  and May cruises. Use your sail & sign card in the slot machine, set up an account with a 4 digit pin number.  You will charge monies to your room/account and play on that money. When through playing cash out on the machine and move to another and do the same or, then take card to casino cage and get cash from your casino account(your on-board account and casino accountare different). If you don't charge more to your room than you have OBC you won't have a bill at the end of your cruise, and maybe some OBC back as cash if your lucky.
