  1. Sorry for your loss. In the meantime, I have a black backpack for sale. Never been opened so who knows the lucky surprises that could be inside. Highest bidder gets the prize.
  2. I don’t care what they do. As long as it benefits me personally.
  3. You don’t have to have YTD to eat at Chibang or Cucina for free. You get one free dinner there (lunch is always free when they are open). With set time dining, you just have to wait until 7:30 to check in. Pig and Anchor is free also (ribs and something else has a charge). Bonsai, Steakhouse, Rudi’s and Emeril’s are extra.
  4. As a Carnival shareholder, I’d like people to buy as much of this well priced merchandise as possible.
  5. Wow. Those people need to switch to decaf. Probably headed to guest services to get a freebie once on board. Have a great cruise.
  6. Wr don’t take the elevator but on a recent horizon cruise, we didn’t see the crowded elevator areas like we do on most cruises.
  7. Same here. Maybe they messed up but we have always just kept ours.
  8. I like the Celebration a little more. More dining options. More specialty bars. Is it worth $300 more total? Maybe. But Horizon is a good ship also. I’d likely go on the celebration but I was just on the Horizon last month and going again in May.
  9. I like them both. They do their jobs well without being annoying. But I have to say, the CD has never really affected my trips that much. Georgia is definitely less “over the top” than some CDs. Which I really like. If you want a CD who is always turned up to 11, you may be disappointed.
  10. Open sea days. It’s when I get my most play time in.
  11. Mardi Gras and Celebration are both $15. I can see them making all tables $15 soon. Tables are packed even when they are $15.
  12. This tip discussion is great but what the important question is: is Cheers worth it?
  13. Have you seen the Rockband and if so, how are they?
  14. This. We did a 9:30 check in time on the Celebration once. And we sat there until boarding at 10:45. Never again. We get there to sit down in the waiting area no earlier than 10:30.
  15. And people wonder why there are so many scooters on Carnival ships.
  16. It should say on the offer. Something like for you. Or, for you and a companion. If it just says you, it’s likely just you.
  17. The pig and anchor on deck 8 is usually not busy on embarkation day. We head there right after muster drill.
  18. We have done that several times. I don’t know of a way to do that before boarding. We always just get extra cabin cards once on board. It requires carrying two cards for the people not staying in their assigned cabin, but we haven’t found it to be a big deal. There may be a better way. But we are too lazy and this works fine.
  19. Agree. This last week, people were lined up at 8:15 to get in and the doors weren’t even open until shortly before 9:00. If you didn’t get a seat then, you were standing. And there were a ton of people standing.
  20. I’ve seen them. Talent is fine. Entertaining is more important to me. But that part is super subjective. I’m not going to judge who people like to see. Lots of the soloist around the ships are very talented. Some are very entertaining.
  21. If you mean the guy who is on there now, he was unwatchable. Because it was so crowded. By far the best piano bar entertainer. Even though he did play the Alice song. But hey, if people are going to pay him to play it, I’m not gonna argue.
  22. Piano bar is hit or miss for me depending on the entertainer. Mostly miss. But the piano bar regulars can crack me up. People making fun of non regulars asking for Sweet Caroline and then requesting that god awful Alice song like it’s some cool kid inside joke. It’s not. It’s terrible.
