LIVE SBS Suite Life Review: Sky 7/11/22 & Breakaway 7/17/22

All excursions were cancelled so we went shopping instead. We had to have some local rum too!

So I asked if the Ice Bar drinks are available at any other bar and I was told that they were not.

@HBCcruiser I’m not sailing until September and this can change,  but who is the concierge currently? I’m just curious if it will be one that I’ve sailed with before. 😎

We ate again at Ocean Blue. Amazing. Our fav waiter, Adrienne, served us with great style and fun. He’s awesome! Loves to joke with my DDs which they love.

She is really rockin’ tonight. My youngest doesn’t handle rough seas well so we are taking it easy,

Huge swells today. My DDs are felling it. 🤢The itinerary change for this cruise really sucked. The rainy day and canceled excursions did not help. Luckily we had great excursions and weather on the Sky cruise. Two sea days left then we disembark. Hopefully the weather will be nice enough for Vibe to be open.

The Captain is skirting around some storms. We are relaxing in the Vibe.

The way around that is to figure out what is in the drink itself, and just ask for that separately I guess. Frangelico + vodka + something else.... I think

I would really enjoy that.  I live in a very sunny location, and always welcome a bit of weather as a change of pace.

On the Escape, we didn't do a great job of scheduling, so we didn't get to eat the dessert at Cagneys. (Plus we were pretty full anyway.)  We used one of our specialty dining meals so we were entitled to a dessert. After we went to that night's show, we stopped by the Haven restaurant figuring we'd get a dessert there. (Yeah upgrade!) We told them about this great sounding dessert that was being offered at Cagneys. The wait staff came back with the dessert from Cagney's. I don't know if that happens often, but if it happened once ...

Dinner was a Cagneys. We almost left after 30 min of no waiter asking us about our drinks. The restaurant was packed and the staff seemed overworked. The food was great as always.

After dinner we tried our luck at the tables. The DDs won a little and enjoyed playing. I must say I much preferred playing during Covid when smoking was not allowed in the casinos. On this ship the smell seems to permeate all of deck 7. NCL should have designed it better with Vegas-like ventilation. 
 

I found this critter waiting for us in the cabin. Close enough!🐀

I don't remember those dining tables adjacent to the pool or those chairs plopped in the middle of the water. Not a fan...

I agree. The space is very tight for all of that furniture. They are using those tables as an extension of the restaurant. The Haven is packed. In fact, it was sold out for this cruise. I agree that it has not been the same level of Haven experience that we had pre-Covid. I also feel that they are short staffed for the number of passengers onboard. I am tipping well because I really feel sorry for the crew who are working so hard to please and do a good job. My guess is that NCL is trying to earn back lost revenue.

That's so wrong,  in two ways.  First,  a baby should not be in that kind of heated water for an extended amount of time.  Second,   a baby in diapers??   Really disgusting.    Sometimes,  I wonder what is wrong with some people.  Why would you put a baby in a hot tub?  I hope someone reported it.

i mentioned it to the concierge on our way to Vibe. It’s unsanitary and could lead to noro among other things. They were not there when we got back but I’m not sure what transpired.
