Any other way to way to upgrade beverage package pre-cruise?

I just hung up after being on hold for 2 hours and 1 minute with X. I want to upgrade my package and use my Captain's Club discount. Is there ANY other way to do this? I thought when I called at 3pm that surely I'd be done in time for my 5pm appointment but I was obviously wrong.

You can do it on line. Go to the Celebrity website, log in and select your cruise. And it has a list of excursions and various packages including upgrading the drink package.

If you have OBC, you can select that and use your future OBC instead of charging it on your CC.

And maybe even if you don't want to apply the discount. Our upcoming booking just says "call to upgrade" on the cruise planner. Others have reported the same. It surprised me, too.

My TA called to see if X would allow me to change my Classic Alcohol package to the upgraded non alcoholic package and was no but to check on board. Not quite the same thing but an FYI.

After a long wait, then a transfer and another long wait I gave up and asked my TA to upgrade for me next time she's on the phone with them. She had it taken care of in less than 10 minutes. I try not to bother my wonderful TA with chores I can normally do, but these phone wait times are ridiculous!

I went through the same thing before cruising in June. Nobody knew about the CC discount. As it turned out, I was ok not upgrading.  On ship, there were so many drinks that couldn’t be made because they didn’t have lots of things. For the few drinks that we ordered that were above the classic price limit, we only paid the difference plus tip. For example on an Aperol spritz, paid $1 plus 20 cents tip. Next day, they ran out of Aperol. Don’t waste your money upgrading.
