Cruise credit casino question

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone!

First, please allow me to thank everyone for their enormously helpful answers on this forum.  If this topic has been addressed, forgive me for repeating it.

So, because of our cruise’s unscheduled days at sea we have been given an extra $500 shipboard credit. We are not wine connoisseurs and I can’t justify the spa costs but we do enjoy the occasional video poker game.  We usually feed a 20 dollar bill into each of our machines, one at a time and cheer each other on with the understanding that win or lose we walk away no matter if we break even, lose or pay for the night’s entertainment. So my question is, can we use our onboard credit for this and if we win, do we get cash or just more onboard credit? Obviously I’m being very optimistic but we’re usually about at a break even level and it’ll be much more fun if we think we might “pay for the cruise” LOL.

Believe me, I know we won’t get that lucky but it’ll be a lot more fun to play for cash than for more cruise credit. Thanks so much for your responses.

Kim

OBC provided by Regent is the "nonrefundable" type.....use it or lose it

Cannot be cashed-in, used in the casino, or to contribute to the Crew Fund.  However, we have used it to play bingo...that's just another form of gambling....go figure. 🙄

Have you seen the Mova globes in the shop?  Quite lovely and worth the price (zero for you!)

Thank you, Kwaj girl.  That’s very disappointing.  It appears then that the cruise credit is pretty worthless to people like us.:classic_sad:

You can still use the OBC at shops & for upgraded excursions.  I agree the spa is pricey but if its completely paid for with the OBC what's the difference?  enjoy your cruise

You are so right. We bought one with OBC a few years ago and it is still running and gaining complements from our visitors.

I did that too - gift for my son.

As I recall, it got a lot of scrutiny going through airport security.

We love ours, happens to be the exact same one as above. It sits on our fireplace mantel and we enjoy looking at it every day.

That is interesting about being able to use obc credit for bingo. I might just have to go and have a game with some of ours 👍
