Video Poker onboard - lowest denomination still quarters?

I saw a comment on FB from someone currently on Apex that plays video poker. They were saying that they were very surprised to learn today that the lowest denomination for VP in the casino is now 50 cents not .25. Can anyone currently on a Celebrity ship confirm whether this is a fleet wide change or just on Apex?

I hope not considering the lousy pay tables.

We were on an Apex cruise inJuly, and the VP machines had quarter play available. Note, though, that there were only about 8 VP machines total.

This is true.  We often had to wait  for a place to play unless we were really early or late.  We definitely could not count on walking into the casino and finding a place to play video poker so if you are a casino player this may be a problem....along with 6/5 J or B schedule.

I recall video poker with quarter, half dollar and dollar bets on the Apex and other Celebrity ships that I've sailed in the last year.  10 coins of each denomination was the max bet.

It's possible.the FB comment was made by someone who sat at a machine already set for fifty cents and didn't realize they could raise or lower the base amount of the bet?
