Timing for Covid test

I just checked the RCL website to see what the requirements are at the moment for covid testing.  The website says 'Fully vaccinated guests must bring a negative test result for a COVID-19 antigen or PCR test taken within the 3 days before boarding day on sailings that are 6 nights or longer only'.

We are on a 7 night sailing so we have to do one.  My question is, we sail on a Saturday, does this mean we can get tested on a Wednesday or do we have to wait till the Thursday?  It seems to me that Wednesday would be 3 days before boarding day however a friend told me I was incorrect.  

What's your thought?

Double check port requirements.  We are sailing eight nights with a stop in Bermuda; therefore, we still have to test two days prior to boarding.

Yes.

Yes, if the requirement is 3 days for a Saturday sailing, you can test Wednesday Thursday or Friday.  If it’s 2 days, it’s Thursday or Friday.

Following is from RCI - so yes, you are good with a Wednesday test.   

 

"you have the three full calendar days before boarding day to take your test"
