ms Eurodam and ms Koningsdam in Juneau August 29, 2022

Eurodam will be at the CT dock from1pm to 10pm.

 

Koningsdam will be at the AS dock from 1pm to 10pm.

 

Also in port are Norwegian Sun tendering (7am-3pm), Crown Princess at the Franklin Street dock (noon-10pm), and Celebrity Solstice at the AJ dock (1:30pm-10pm).

 

The 10-day forecast shows rain, rain, rain, rain... well, you get the idea.  Monday's rain chance is 90% with a half an inch predicted.  The high will be 60F/16C and the low 53F/12C.  Sunrise is at 5:51am and sunset at 8:05pm.

Before the ships start leaving Alaska - Juneau wants to make sure we see her normal weather.  She hasn't missed many days though without some rain.

 

Double sail-in at around FFL/PEV sailaway time - making it easier to remember.

Eurodam just south of Gastineau Channel. - probably 35 minutes away.

 

Kdam looks to be about 30 minutes behind her older, Signature class sister.

We have a few raindrops on lens, and it is panning. But there is still a good view.

 

No view blocker at AS dock either.

Kdam must have slowed down - she is still almost 40 minutes away.

@Happily@Sea I'm assuming you have some sort of marine tracker app....does it look like Koningsdam is skipping Juneau??  That's what I see on mine.

You are correct. She has veered west of the Gastineau Channel and headed due west.

Well, for some unknown reason to me, the Koningsdam didn't come to Juneau earlier today.....but it is now!  Here she is coming into the basin.
