We bought the kids the soda package, I cant remember if Carnival gives cups with that? Or you buy them? Thank you! Happy cruising!🙂

The pop is served with a glass. Some ships they dispense right into it, sometimes you get a can with a glass of ice.  You could buy a tumbler on board, or you could just pack your own.

Depends. We were surprised to get cold cans given to us last week on the Breeze. Unknown if that is fleet wide.

Shouldn't be fleetwide, just bartenders too busy or lazy to pour into a glass.  Official policy is "Soft drink is served by the glass (16 ounces)", not by the can.

Good question if you purchase the soda bubbles card.  Can you bring on your own cup and have them fill it, or are these cans etc....  Anyone who been on this will be helpful to know so we know which cup to bring.

To prevent cross contamination they shouldn't be serving ice or pouring soda into your own cup.  Per the BB restrictions they shouldn't be giving you the whole can.  But YMMV on both those.

If they do follow the rules though, nothing stopping you from filling your cup from the glass they just served you and handing it back and ordering more unlimited soda to fill your cup.  Just look for the eye rolling and make sure they don't spit in your refill😃

  • 9 months later...

That would be for the fill your own soda machines they have on other lines i think you are talking about.

Carnival doesn't have that on the vast majoity of their ships.

(t haven't been on the newer ships yet.)

Been on most of the older ships.

On every ship, if you have one of their plastic mugs you buy in the gift shop or at the bar, they will fill that for you or else they fill a glass 16 Oz. pint glass from a soda dispenser or hand you a 16 oz. pint glass with ice and a can of the soda of your choice.

If you are getting the soda for a small child a 16 OZ. pint.  GLASS might not be ideal. But you can buy their logo mug with lid on board if need be.

Maybe be specific with which ship you are goling on and somebody can verify whether that ship might have the soda machines.

I am a big fan of the Bottomless Bubbles program and buy it everytime.

What I have experienced:  Does not come with a refillable cup.  Buy or bring your own.  It varies whether you get a can opened or unopened or a glass filled with ice and accompanying the can.  Some bars will fill the glass from the dispenser they use for mixed drinks.  The "glass" from the pool deck bars is plastic.  Casino, atrium, theatre, lounge bars etc. are real glass.  Purchases must technically be 5 minutes apart so you can't keep refilling a container.  You can get soda with your meal in the MDR.  Get it somewhere else if you eat at the Buffet.  When in port you pay the tax, soda is therefore not "free".  4 sodas a day is about "break even".  Don't force yourself to finish a warm/ice melted soda.  Get another one!  Carnival now serves Diet Pepsi, Pepsi Zero, Starry Zero and others that I don't drink.

Now I want to go on a cruise!!!!!
