Kinda cool out right now so I checked the temperature...it's 61. I'm questioning my decision to to pack t shirts and shorts 😆. 

 

The harbor cruise recommended dressing warm even in warm temperatures as it can get chilly and windy on the tour. Ooops.

 

Also I just walked past the section with the litter I took pictures of yesterday and there was a crew with shovels cleaning it up. That was nice to see.

The day started with a trip to pier 55 for the argosy harbor tour.

I got used to the cooler temperature pretty quickly and then the sun came out and I was actually warm.

 

Downtown Seattle is unfortunately very steep and it was too much for my mom to navigate so I took her back to the room. I felt bad that she was not able to do more with her time in Seattle.

 

I headed back out and changed plans from the zoo to MoPop.

Next I headed to Pike place.

 

 

It was closing down so I didn't get to see much but I walked around a bit and also checked out the gum wall.

 

 

 

 

And I couldn't resist overpaying for some yummy treats before I left.

 

 

It was $33 for six cheesecakes cups but omg they were amazing!

On the way back to the hotel curiosity set in and I got off the train at the infamous Capital Hill for a quick walking tour.

It was an interesting area. I'm sure I didn't get to any of the hot spots since I didn't go in very far but it was a good walk. Makes you wonder how a community gets to this point. 

 

Curiosity tour over I went back to the hotel with a quick stop to target first for a couple items and now we are caught back up.

 

In the hotel relaxing now with a friends marathon on the tv.

Forgot to mention our test results came back - we are both negative. 

 

Seattle has been fun but tomorrow the real fun begins. Cruise day!!!

 

Going to bed now. Next up, Carnival Spirit.

Uber acquired next stop Pier 91. Arriving at 10:16.

Made it through checkin. I signed my mom up for wheelchair assistance so we made it through the process pretty quick. I feel kinda bad skipping all these people but she did not feel like she could handle the trek up tje gangway.

 

They say boarding should begin any minute now.

I'd heard masks were required in the terminal in Seattle. That turned out to not be true.

And we are boarding at 1136.

Made it on board, did muster and dropped off the bags. My room is not ready but that is okay.

 

Off to the Lido now and then I may walk the ship a little to get my bearings since this is my first time on Spirit class.

Power just went out that is not good. Yikes.

Back on. Hope that doesn't happen when we are at sea.

 

Country music playing on the overhead, I like it only heard that before on a cruise I took from Mobile.

Just kidding we are running on a generator. Found out when I tried to get some water.

Full power was back on in about five minutes.
