Just completed my ArriveCAN submission for cruise departing 9/29/2022...questions!

I just finished the ArriveCAN forms, and it says:

"Travellers who qualify as fully-vaccinated with Government of Canada accepted vaccines and any accompanying children under 12 are no longer required to produce proof of a COVID-19 test result before their arrival at a land or marine port of entry."

Is this new? Or is it just referring to not needing to do a test on arrival in the port city, vs. testing before embarkation?

It's poorly written to be honest. That applies to people entering by land or air. Cruise pax still need to provide a negative test (until 9/30).

Even though it says "land or marine port?"

(I'm testing anyway, I don't trust anything I read between now and our embarkation. I don't want to have to go do an expensive last minute test because I misread something or NCL and Canada aren't on the same page yet!)

Yup.

This is what the official government website says:

  • Pre-embarkation COVID-19 testing

All travellers 5 years of age or older must have a COVID-19 test to board a cruise ship in Canada or to board a cruise ship that will dock in Canada at any point on the cruise.

It changed TODAY!   I received an e-mail at 2:15p today from NCL with the update.  Check for email from NCL or contact your travel agent.

We depart the 29th, so we still have to do it. Boo! (Even though we don't get to Canada until Oct 5!)

Missed it by that much...
