MikeTheNFT Posted October 6, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 6, 2022 On RC specifically (But curious as to others), if you end a cruise with say $5-10k in your bank, how do the casinos pay out? Is it always cash? Is there a limit or is there a point where they cut a check instead?
tompeter Posted October 8, 2022 #2 Share Posted October 8, 2022 I have requested payment by check for specific Jackpot winnings (on Princess). But normal accumulated winnings are paid in cash as far as I know.
Rare KarmaCruisers Posted October 22, 2022 #3 Share Posted October 22, 2022 Not on RC; but on Carnival we’ve hit $10k (grand jackpot) and they gave us a strap of 100’s another lady flopped a heart Royal for $30k..gave chips at the table then cash at the cage. KXZ1498 Posted October 26, 2022 #4 Share Posted October 26, 2022 Cash/wire/check are all available. If they are low on cash, they will tell you they will only disperse as a check or wire.
Bead Pirate Posted December 12, 2022 #5 Share Posted December 12, 2022 As some have said above it varies by cruise line (even ship)... These are all in last couple of months (it is that time of year to move up to the top players level): MSC Slots $19K cash with no tax form Royal (Wonder) 6 slot hits between $1.5K and $3K all hand pays with tax forms Celebrity (Texas Holdem) $32K combination of cash and check with tax forms NCL Slots $7K cash and tax forms
cruisinqt Posted December 24, 2022 #6 Share Posted December 24, 2022 On our last Carnival cruise I got hand pays 3 times. One for $1500, one for $2084, and one for $3,338. Anything over $1200 is a hand pay with a tax form with Carnival. I don’t know what they would do if it’s a huge amount like $10k but for a few thousand it was a hand pay for us. neurosurg Posted December 27, 2022 #7 Share Posted December 27, 2022 I once got lucky (Norwegian), won $20k on a slot machine and was told they would hold onto the cash (they made me open a front money account) until the last night of the cruise. I'm guessing either they were low on cash at the time, or just were hoping I would lose it back. On the last night they offered to give me the cash, or get a check. They gave me the cash, no problem. mcrcruiser Posted January 8, 2023 #12 Share Posted January 8, 2023 Very similar to wins in a US land based casino . Win over $1200 & you get q tax form . The big difference is in Las Vegas you can have a players bank & you can place the wins into the players bank & draw out daily with receipts
