Taxi or Uber from San Diego Airport to Spring Suites across from the pier

What is s easier Taxi or Uber to get from San Diego Airport to Springhill Suites across the street from the pier.

Taxi is very easy, and maybe $12, before tip.

Taxi is probably quicker as they will be lined up outside the terminal waiting rather than ordering an UBER and waiting for it to get through traffic and finding you.  But both are easy.

Uber used to be cheaper than taking a taxi. Now we only take taxis in San Diego.

Is it not walkable?  I am staying there this Friday night and chose it for its proximity to the terminal...

From the hotel to the pier, yes. I think this conversation is getting combined with the airport tohotel concept, which is not really walkable.

From the airport...  a long walk on busy streets, approximately 2+ miles to downtown hotels. Doable, but not advisable. From hotels to the cruise terminal...  very doable.

Two different things are being conflated.

 

The Original Poster asked about an Uber or taxi FROM the AIRPORT to the SpringHill Suites, ACROSS FROM THE PIER.

 

They were not asking about an Uber or taxi FROM the PIER to the SpringHill Suites, ACROSS FROM THE PIER.

 

They were merely qualifying WHICH SpringHill Suites, since San Diego has many of them.

 

Yes, the SpringHill Suites is directly across Harbor Drive from the cruise terminal and completely walkable.
