Nassau Visit

We have an upcoming cruise porting at Nassau for first time, and wish to make the most of our visit within a reasonable budget.

I have read that the town is not that interesting to walk around, so was considering other options, we do like a nice beach/beach bar but not overcrowded, has anyone any recommendations, Celebrity do a excursion to Pearl Island including lunch which is currently discounted, anyone experienced this trip ?

We love walking up the hill to John Watling's distillery and drinking the best Pina Colada ever!!  There is a free tour so you get edutainment but the real draw is the yummy drink.  Walk down toward the port to the right and past the pink building.  West Hill Street has a chocolate shop, a cigar shop, a wine shop and a really cool hotel called Graycliff.  The street has colorful umbrellas strung over.

Have a wonderful cruise!
