okay! All packed, and my handy dandy luggage scale hook dealie says I’m almost 8 lbs. under the weird low Frontier checked bag weight limit. A phone charger and a few toiletries in the morning shouldn’t break the bank on that! Almost time to TRY to get some sleep! I swear, it’s the adult version of Christmas Eve as a kid….

Well, sleep was spotty. Why my brain is how it is, I may never know. Still, the good news is less than three hours out and we’re still showing on time. Thus far the frontier warnings are unfounded. #fingerscrossed

The good news? DFW isn’t packed. Security lines are short. Every airline I walked past has no lines. The bad news? The Frontier bag drop line - the one line I need - looks like a new ride at Disney.

Look at all these show offs. On their legitimate airline. Enjoying themselves. Thing is, Spirit looked like this too. So did Delta. I board in an hour. Should be good. 🤷🏻‍♂️ The price I pay for being a man of the people….

Okay, credit where it’s due. Those two agents were HUSTLING. I’m through. And I somehow have priority boarding, so I’m in the two minute line, not the eight minute line. If I win like this in the casino, I may not come home!

as much as I’d love to live out my Cocktail fantasy, it’s a little early. Also, time is a little tight for a sit down breakfast. I will say though, if you’re even near gate E20 at DFW, the bar looks pretty big and legit. 
 

 

gift shop with a local NBC affiliate theme is an odd move

Gonna hold off on food. Nothing really calling my name, so coffee it is. Also, I plan on eating and drinking shamefully this week, so let’s save some calories. 

 

Peet’s has broken out the festive cups. And yes, it’s 30 degrees and I’m drinking iced coffee. It’s who I am. I’m also in shorts and a polo, so 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ve been so cruise minded I lost sight of this being an Orlando flight…. The three sets of visible matching Disney sweatshirts in my gate alone just reminded me. Also, the parents with five kids next to me chanting about the Disney cruise they’re headed to. I’m sure it’s very nice, but thank ALL THAT IS HOLY I’m not going on a Disney cruise.

Early on there was a surprise when the flight attendant jump seat was face to face with me…. 
 

 

but luckily that was just takeoff and landing. So it wasn’t some two hour awkward standoff. 
 

 

made it to MCO. The “stretch seat” had great leg room and was wider and reclined (standard seats don’t recline), but the back was as thin as the rest of the seats. And these seatbacks are THIN. 

 

 

that said, we’re on time, it wasn’t too pricey, and assuming my luggage pops out on the carousel here shortly, I’d def brave the wild Frontier again. 
 

(I say that as the captain announces we’re waiting on the gate agent and it could be a minute. To be continued!)
