Check in feels more normal than it has since Covid. All the Plat/Dia signs are back. Here’s the Captains Lounge where the Diamonds are…. (July ‘23. Dream. Not that I’m counting.)

 

 

and I’m in this roped off Platinum area in the main area. Lots of cool funky seating.

Okay, a woman just got the mic and yelled that everyone must be seated in the terminal before we board. No one can be standing. Never heard that one before. 
 

Now she’s explaining zones.

She’s still going. It’s a very Ben Stein in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off drone. 
 

she’s explained where to meet the maitre’d if you have dining requests, how to get a drink without your S&S card, muster stations, and when staterooms are ready. The longer she went, the more the volume of people talking and tuning her out increased. It truly felt like I was right back at work in middle school!

When we were there in April the sound system really sucked, couldn't understand a word that they were saying. Is it better now?

At least where I’m sitting it is, as good as any other port anyway. I’m pretty close to this speaker though. 
 

 

that said, once people start talking much, you do have to strain to hear a little bit.

They did the same when I was on Mardi Gras in September.   I think they may do that because the ship is larger and more people boarding.  

 

Great review so far!  When you get on board make sure you go to the Brass Magnolia,  It is a great place to people watch and good drinks.  Hopefully Jennifer the bartender is still there.  She's aweome.

 

And, the Fortune Teller bar had a great musician that played 80's music among other songs.  A great backdrop for having a drinks.

 

Can wait to follow along!

I’m super excited about the Brass Magnolia! (Almost abbreviated that BM, caught myself!) I had the good fortune of having Jennifer on the Dream back in the day when she was an Alchemy apprentice and trying to earn the white coat! She’s the best! I figured she’d be over on Celebration by now, but I can hope!

Does the Red Frog have Frog's Island Iced Tea? Had that on Magic and Sunshine... hoping to be able to enjoy them again in Jan.
