Anthem Dining - Silk restaurant

Does anyone know if the Silk restaurant is still on the Anthem of the Seas ?

 

looking on their website it doesn’t mention the Silk restaurant as one of the speciality restaurants (or I can’t see it) but it’s showing on their deck plans

 

anyone enlighten me ?

Silk is not a specialty venue; it is part of the MDR.

Right, thanks for clearing that up 

 

so can you just make a reservation whilst onboard ? I can’t see anything on the cruise planner or in the app.

 

We sail on 2nd Jan and have checked-in

You can't book Silk directly; it is used for MTD dining. You can ask to be seated there when you show up at the MTD host desk.

Remember the menu in Silk is the same as any other MDR. So unless you really want to dine there for the ambience, there’s no real point in insisting on being seated there.

Just a word of caution, on our Easter sail the lines for MTD were quite long.

Ambience counts, the other choice is American Icon Grill which lacks any appearance of a relaxing evening dining experience. Just like chic sucks as a traditional MDR choice.

We always asked for Silk for the atmosphere.  The menus are all the same in all four restaurants.  The names are a Dynamic Dining leftover!!
