Formal nights on the Glory

New to Carnival so I was wondering how formal are formal nights on the Glory out of New Orleans for a 7 night cruise?  And how many are there?  We have 3 port days in a row.  Mahogany Bay, Belize and Cozumel.  Days 2, 3 and 7 are sea days.

Typically 2 for a 7 night. Will likely be on your sea days. Things aren’t enforced too heavily (this not Cunard), some trousers and a nice shirt should suffice, but you’ll see people dressed to the 9s too, just do whatever makes you the most comfortable friend 🙂

We sail the Glory regularly and it is like Elsammo46 said; two formal nights and rules not heavily enforced.  We used to skip formal nights as that is not really our thing but since Lido deck has become less appetizing and more crowded we eat dinner in the MD every night we're not at the steak house. I now bring a pair of khaki pants to wear on formal night along with a polo shirt. Lots dressed like me and lots dressed more formal.

Carnival does not have "formal nights". They have "elegant nights". A joke only worried about by people who have not cruised before. I always try to dress nice on any night, but nothing special.
They will let anyone in no matter what they are wearing, especially if you have a baseball cap on your head.

You'll see more peeps dressed to the zeros than the nine's. but anything goes from one end of the spectrum to the other.

I would say the  elegant nights will be day 2 and the day you are at Cozumel.

There are two Elegant Nights on the Glory seven day sailings (Sunday-Sunday).  The will be on Monday and Friday evening.  We sailed on her in January 2022 for a B2B2B and those were the scheduled days. Dress code is not strict, however, one will be turned away if not properly attired (in other words, no swimming suits, cut offs, jeans with holes, tank tops and the like).

The last few ships I have been on Carnival doesn't even bother with table cloth any more  on their " elegant" night. The only thing going is the food is a bit better with steak/lobster.

It's been that way for years and isn't new at all.

No table cloth on regular days has been around for years but I  think the none on "elegant" night is a newer phenomenon. I don't care one way or the other myself but for now the Spirit has table cloth every night. I'm sure Carnival can't wait to get rid of the old tables on the Spirit  at next dry dock along with the casino bar 😉 .

I'm sorry but that's just not true. Carnival did away with tablecloths when they introduced the American Table concept. Hers an article about way back in October, 2015.
