It's doable. If you're off the ship and through customs by 8 or a little after, earlier is better. Traffic on weekends isn't too bad as I remember. It's dropping off your bags and getting through TSA that could be a problem.

You are leaving the port in Ft. Lauderdale, right? If you are thinking Miami to Ft. Lauderdale, maybe. However, all the stars have to line up to make it work.

If you carry your bags off the ship, it shouldn't be a problem. We had a 9:30 flight a couple years ago. We carried our bags off the ship and were at the airport at 7:30.

Just got off Odyssey Thanksgiving Cruise...Had a 10:55 

am flight out of FLL. Left cabin at 8am... carried our bags...went thru immigration...grabbed a cab and was at FLL at 8:35....It took longer to go thru TSA then from leaving our cabin to the airport. Definitely doable...don't give it a second thought!!
