Can my $200 on board credit be used to book specialty restaurant on the 1st night of sailing?

If the OBC is from Celebrity then yes you can use it for purchases from the Cruise Planner.

 

However if the OBC is from a travel agent then it isn’t normally available until you are on the ship.

Booked through Celebrity, but when I am ready to book it, it shows prices for 2 people and nothing about using OBC.

When you check out, there is a line to apply your OBC

When you are in your Cruise Planner does it show that you have $200 OBC?

Yes! Just back from the Equinox. Used our OBC to advance book in the Tuscan Grill. The restaurant charge reduced our OBC. The reduced balance was posted to our account which could be accessed via the TV.

Yea I was ready to hear about the ship so I agree.
