I’ve never taken a tour from Naples. However, if time allows for you to walk around Ravello, that’s the tour I would pick. Search for Villa Rufolo to see pictures. Edit: I think I may mean Villa Cimbrone.

here are the descriptions: for Naples, sorrento, and Positano

Enjoy one of Europe’s most beautiful coastal rides along the base of Mount Vesuvius and arrive to the enchanting resort town of Sorrento. Here you may take your time to explore the historical district with it’s alleyways, souvenir shops and cafes. Enjoy the beauty of this place and don’t forget to try the local Pizza, Gellato or Espresso. Take your time to soak it all in.  Next is a panorama tour of Positano and the Amalfi coast. The town of Positano looks like a waterfall cascading down the rocks to the sea. Enjoy fantastic panoramic views from here, and get the chance to take some amazing photos. After the visit to Positano and the coast, we will head back to the port in order to return you safely to your ship with plenty of time for departure. On the way back we may stop at the Posillipo view point and the famous Naples Square of Piazza Plebiscito with a panorama visit to the Royal Palace & the church of San Francesco di Paola. This is an enchanting easy shore excursion at your own pace.

Amalfi coast, Positano, Amalfi and Ravello:

This day excursion is designed for those who wish to enjoy the highlights of the AMALFI COAST and the picturesque villages of Ravello, Amalfi and Positano. Three of the Jewels the Amalfi Coast is famous for.

After you are greeted at the port of Naples by one of our professional English speaking drivers, you will ascend up the mountains to the charming town of Ravello. You will spend the morning exploring this mountainous area, which overlooks the breathtaking Amalfi Coast.

A part of the morning will be dedicated to Ravello and the rest to Amalfi. How much time you wish to spend in each town is really up to you, as long as it fits into the rest of the schedule. Just let your driver know.

Ravello will provide spectacular views of the coastline below thanks to its “Eagle Nest” position high on the mountains. While Amalfi has a lower, and a little flatter position on the coast, looks like a glossy “Pearl”, thanks to the white hues of its houses.

At some point it will be time for lunch. You may choose somewhere along the coast before heading to Positano, or wait until you reach it. Positano is best known for its many colors: the green of the mountains around it, the blue of the sea right in front and the pink and yellow shades of the houses.

You will spend the remainder of the afternoon here, before being returned to your ship in the Port of Naples.

#2 You get to spend time at noth Ravello and Positano.

The first one is a drive by.

Definitely the second one.  It sounds like a private tour while the first one sounds more like a ship's tour.

From experience, be careful with your time if your driver allows you flexibility. You want to ensure that you have enough time to do more than just a quick run through Positano, your last stop.

Sorrento is not a particular favorite of mine at any rate.

we had a 12 hr port stop at Naples in Sept 2019. The Amalfi Coast was our priority.

I hired a driver for the day so we could have control of the itinerary and stops.  We wanted time in Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. Plus I wanted a view from the sea, so we took a ferry between Positano and Amalfi.    I had requested an extra hour so it was $450 for the 9hr day. Fabulous day!
