Large Group and MDR

 Share

Recommended Posts

We have cruised with groups before, but none ever this large. We currently have 24 people in 5 different cabins. We have all selected the 5:00pm dining time. I have linked all of our account together , if I call will,  they be able to seat us in the same area? I know the max is 8 people per table, not a big deal. But would it be nice to all be in the same area.

Yes, yes, I know we should have used a travel agent, but the group just kept growing and i originally could have handled it 😆

Simply email your request 2-3 weeks prior to the cruise to rcldining@rccl.com

That way your set of tables will be incorporated into the dining arrangement.  Early on the first day of the cruise, wander into the dining room and find your table numbers.  If as expected the tables are fine, enjoy your day.  If not, ask for assistance.

Several years ago we were 36.  Had several tables, various sizes. It was an aunt and uncle's anniversary so we changed seats each night so we all got a chance to sit with them.  Confused our waiters but told them not to worry.

I second using this method as I do it all the time. My wife and I are currently on the Wonder and are doing a B2B. Some family are joining us for the next leg and we got a confirmation email with our table assignments for both trips.

It's always worked perfectly.

Cheers!

thank you! I had no idea I could email them. I'll be doing that and then following up on board.

Emailing works wonderfully.  Time your email no more than 2-3 weeks before your cruise, as any earlier they will be working on other cruises.  No point having an early email lost in the shuffle.

My only follow up on board is a trip to the dining room early in the day to find my table(s), so far always with happy results.  Plus we can walk straight to our table the first night without waiting for directions or an escort.
