Reduced deposits

Does anyone know if Carnival has any reduced deposit "sales" coming up ??

 

(are there still $25 deposit sales ??)

It's possible and some may even be as low as $25, but more typically it's $50 per person unless you are booking a newer ship in which case it's higher ($99 per person comes to mind).

I seem to recall I was browsing itineraries last week and there were $50 deposit offerings for 7 and 8 day cruises.

 

That may be no longer offered - I just did a random quick mock booking and saw offers for 50% off deposits.

I just did a check on a 6 day Magic cruise for next September.  It was a $100 deposit ($50 pp).

Just be forwarned, there is a catch to these "reduced deposit" sales.

 

For example

Let's say you do book a cruise with a reduced deposit.

Fast forward to 60 days later and your looking around and you see the same cruise currently available for $200 per person less.  You call and get the new price.   Here's the tip: The sales rep may or may not tell you that to get this new price, you have to pay more money immediately because the new price does not include a reduced deposit.

If you know this ahead of time or they do mention it, you're good to go.

If they fail to tell you this and/or you're not aware,,, you may find at an inopportune time in the future that your cruise has been cancelled with no notification due to failure to pay the remaining deposit.

Most excellent point. The terms and conditions in effect at the time of the new booking will replace the old terms and conditions.
