Ship time or Port Time

Hello, we will be on Silhouette soon and will have a stop in St Maarten.  We have booked an independent excursion which starts at 9am.  Is the itinerary given by Celebrity the local time that we dock, it’s 7am to 4pm on the schedule.  I don’t want to miss the excursion. Thank you.

Celebrity almost always adjusts to local time.   I've never been to St Maarten where ship time wasn't the same as local time.   It can be a pain to adjust you clocks multiple times during a cruise but it does avoid these complications.

Agree, ship time is "usually/almost always" port time, but since it's not "always", we can't give you an answer with 100% certainty.

I have seen ship time not match local time on the western edge of the Caribbean and in Portugal, but never seen that phenomenon in St. Maarten. Doesn’t mean it will never happen……

The Captain decides.  Ship time will be the same as local time in St Maarten.

Here is the problem.  On our cruise this week, we turned our watches ahead and then later in the week backwards.  However, many cell phones did not automatically adjust to the change.  So be careful as you could be an hour off.
