Transfers/tours from Ravenna to Venice

Hello

 

I have friends going on a Celebrity cruise that stops in Ravenna. They are looking for transportation/tours to Venice but Celebrity doesnt offer any. Can anyone suggest a company or a tour?

Hard to believe that Ceelebrity would pass up that opportunity. Perhaps it will be added.

Personally, I would take the train from Ravenna to Venice S Lucia station. The station is right on the Grand Canal so they can start exploring immediately. (hopefully Celebrity will offer a shuttle from the pier to Ravenna train station)

What are the hours in port at Ravenna?  Perhaps the ship is not there long enough to accommodate travel times to/from Venice plus a reasonable tour.

That's what I was thinking. Seems like most Celebrity visits to Ravenna are for turn around days, which I know are busy. I was on one of these last fall in the middle of a BTB cruise. By the time they got us "repeaters" zeroed out and issued with new cards, and considering that departure time from Ravenna was around 6pm, it would have been hard to justify a 4 hour plus round trip to Venice only to have maybe 2 hours there....

 They are getting on the Constellation in Ravenna on 8/17, but the ship overnights and doesn't leave until 5:00pm on 8/18. Based on that, do you know of any tours?
