which one to choose: legend/pride 4K (obst. view) on 4th deck or OV on Riveria (1st deck)? similar pricing. We had a low deck before with galley below and the 3am chopping of meat woke us up every night. No idea what's below Riveria.

I just got off the Pride, and was in 1187, deck 1 outside view below the casino.  The casino noise and smoke got pretty bad one night and woke me up... and I can sleep through nearly anything.  If you're below guest services or the shore excursion desk, the noise might not be horrible, but the Atrium got pretty loud, too, during the cruise.  Red Frog was VERY loud in the evenings; I could hear it very well above it in the piano bar.  For the obstructed view, note that the Piano Bar got loud in the evenings, but I don't know how late that went.  You'll probably be ok over the "fun shops"

I vote for 4K. I like the odd ones near the front of the ship. 4109 in Dec was great! Easy up to lido and spa and down to the casino. Far enough from the noise of the shows but close enough that I could slip in the balcony on 4 at the last minute and still get a seat and leave easily if I wasn't into the show. Deck one is too noisy for me even with the better view and is a long way to go for the lido.

We just got off the Pride today and had cabin 4114. We loved the location, close to the theatre (it was great walking a few steps to our cabin when shows were over vs dealing with the crowds at stairs/elevator), easy access to all the action on the decks below/above. Also enjoyed the full window which let in lots of light between the lifeboats. We did hear music from the piano bar below but it wasn’t loud enough to keep us awake at night.

Hope you're doing a review.

Sorry, just saw this message. I don’t think I have the time nor the skill to write a good review lol But I will say that I loved the ship, was surprised by the condition (very clean and well maintained). First time on a Spirit class ship and  I enjoyed its uniqueness compared to other classes.
