Pinnacle Class Sideways obstructed

Hi. Looking at deck plans it looks like Rotterdam and Koningsdam 4044 and 4043 are large decks but Nieuw Statendam is not.  Is that correct.  NS shows the sideways cabin, but the deck looks split in 2. Can anyone confirm? Please and thank you.

Figured it out.  Looks like half the balcony belongs to 4041 and 4042.  Didn’t realize NS was different.

Spent 21 days on K #4044  4 years ago.  Half of that deck does belong to #4042 - however #4044 still has a larger deck  then regular balcony cabins. # 4042 was very large - and #4046 was regular  dept , but extra long. Enjoyed the deck , but not sure about the cabin.

I have 4044 booked on an upcoming Koningsdam cruise. Can you tell me what you liked or didn’t like about cabin? I have heard it’s a bit dark. Thanks!

We were in 4043 on the NS for 21 days last March and loved it. The balcony is large and relatively protected from the wind. The "sideways" layout made the room seem larger or at least gave you more usable area. No narrow space between the bathroom door and the closets!

Yes - it is a bit dark was our issue. We overcome a bit of that with leaving the TV on to the aft channel - giving the impression that there was a picture or something to brighten up that space. . the first thing you see when entering the cabin is a blank wall ahead as the patio doors are off to the side  in almost a bit of an alcove with the sofa .Overhead Fred - you are right when you say the layout did seem to give the room a bit more space . Just did not like the dark feeling - but if the price was right - might have to think about it so maybe not all that bad.

I had 4041 and 4043 booked for Alaska. Then changed my mind because 4043 has no window and you can't see out from the main area's of the cabin.
