TA Main Dining Menu

On TAs, will the ship use their standard main dining menus with each one repeating once?

NCL actually has 14 or 21 menus that rotate.  The only thing that changes are some of the appetizers and the 'special' entrees.

NCL has 21 menus that were developed during the Covid shut down. After the relaunch, they discovered not all ingredients were readily available due to supply chain issues so not all 21 days of the menus are in rotation.

They re-did the menus during COVID?  I'm pretty sure they had 21 menus prior to COVID...

Yes, they re-vamped the menus during Covid.

If you do a TA on the Prima, be prepared for a set menu every night in the dining rooms.

We actually love the upgraded Prima menu and have no problem dining on a TA. Even with the rotating menus, there really isn’t that much more and we end up ordering off the “classic” menu a lot.

the viva is a prima class chip and, at least as of this writing, NCL's plan was to have the same non-rotating menu in the MDRs on all prima class ships. whether or not they change that, based on customer feedback from the prima, is anybody's guess.

 

my thinking is they won't and it will be the same menu throughout the cruise.

As of this date, the Norwegian Sun currently doing her westbound TA from Lisbon, Spain to NY & continuing to Miami - they are using 14+ days set of menu in rotation.  Food is reported to be good, no issues or shortage thus far - according to my update this morning from pax ashore at Funchal. 

 

Will have more updates later this month on eastbound TA crossing ...
