Although it was a nice touch upon boarding yes sometimes it was hard to have the glass, bags and carry-on all at once.

Suggestion to celebrity would be to great each guest and offer them a coupon to go at your own leisure to pick up that glass at any specific bar.

Voila

vote me for new CEO 😂

It now seems like they have done this- just go to Cafe al Bacio for the free bubbly after dropping off your stuff in your cabin.

We saw champagne, etc. being offered at the bar in the casino a few months ago upon arrival.  Then the next cruise on Summit they did not have that.

Also I thought one had to view the muster program on your TV in your cabin and then go to your station to confirm?  Maybe they changed it as I recall they were announcing many who do not do the muster and it creates a small problem before they can set sail.  I just remember everyone crowding into the muster location(people could not find enough seats and some who could not or should not be standing hoping someone offers them a seat) and then watching a video and listening to the sample whistles.  This new way is the best.

When we boarded Constellation last Oct, they did not offer my wife or me any sparkling wine.  They did offer us a sparkling ship though.

The crew nick name that stuff "Chateau de Gangway"😂

That is funny! I’ll be there are are quite a few nicknames for other things around the ship but I’m not sure I want to know them!

You can also view the muster before or after boarding on the Celebrity app.  Just check in at you muster station any time before the ship departs.

I beleive that the Cruise line will never offer it again, for they use to have there own Bubbly. Now that Celebrity wines are gone, they seem to stop offering it. But, never feel bad, go to the nearest Bar and ask for your Champage! Even the coffee area will have glasses of the bubbly out for you to have that first drink. Cruise well, drink well.

It's not about the free bubbly!  It's about the greeting as we board the ship.  Bring it back.  Where is the first class treatment we are paying for?  And where are the photographers?  They've all but disappeared. I'm sorry, but some of us would like to remember our voyages with these cheesy photographs. We've sailed four times in the last five months and it's been the same COLD greeting.

I hope Lisa and her successor are listening.  Stop dumbing down the system.  No more COVID excuses.

I've sent emails to Lisa and always have received answers back from someone at the ExecutiveOffice@celebrity.com. Give it a shot.

Are guests still greeted with a glass of sparkling wine upon embarkation?

It was a cute idea and gave boarding kind of a la-de-da feel, but with it being pre-poured some time earlier, it was never really cold, sparkling, or bubbly by the time we got it. Not complaining since I understand it would slow boarding down considerably to try to do fresh pours, but it's nothing that I'd miss terribly. I'll gladly give it up forever if they never bring back the old muster drills.  😄
