Singles in the Dining Room?

I’ll be sailing shortly on the Getaway as a single in a balcony cabin and wondering how I’ll be accommodated in the dining room. I’d previously sailed in the Breakaway as a single in one of the Studio cabins and the studio concierge always asked who’d like to dine and formed a table, so I never had to dine alone.  I’d appreciate any guidance from other singles who’ve sailed before outside of the Studio area accommodations.

They will ask you if you would like to join another table at check in.  Also, the concierge in the Studios has posted in the past that any Single on board can join their group at the Studios for dinners, etc.

They can sit you at a table by yourself if you want.  But you can also dine with the other solo travelers.  The solo meetings are not limited to just those in the solo cabins.  They will prop open the door to the studio lounge for the nightly solo meetings if the meetings are being held in there

Thank you all for the replies. An NCL rep used to call me if I’d been surfing the NCL web site but was unable to tell me if singles outside the studio were welcome at their gatherings. Now I feel more comfortable. 12 days until Getaway transatlantic!

I have a friend traveling as a solo on your cruise.

Enjoy

I've done both:  Dined solo in specialty restaurants and dined with people I met up with impromptu.  As others have stated, there are the organized singles gatherings as well, which I'm told are nice, though they're not my thing.

Really depends on what you want. When traveling solo, I greatly prefer eating on my own. I will sit and read or do some people watching,,, but don’t need that people at my table telling me about their day. No thank you.

Just to confirm what others have said: I have sailed solo outside of the studios and it's never been a problem to have a table for myself at either the main dining rooms or speciality restaurants.
