Seemed perfectly cool to me. I can't remember if there was a temperature control but I believe so - and I like it icebox fresh while I'm sleeping and it was fine!

Great review, I've added a few of the books you mentioned to my "to read" list! I think the reason you didn't get charged for the chair on GSC is because that is considered an "excursion" and you possibly could have pre-booked one through the shorex desk. So you got it for free because it was less than the $50 excursion credit.

You can most definitely smoke in approximately half of the casino.  Unfortunately, all of the good slots were in the smoking section.

What makes a good slot vs a not good slot? I've never gambled, but thought I might try some on the Escape. And I guess I can find out if my face masks work vs tobacco smoke. (I have 3-layer cloth with a PM 2.5 filter in them. They were amazing during the Canadian Wildfire smoke days, and also managed to keep me safe from Covid.)

It's fun to do a review and re-live it all over again! Before I go on a trip, I have a typewritten list of what my plans are for the day, things to remember to do (get tender tickets, etc) and then I jot notes on it at the end of the day. I'd never remember otherwise!

 

I admire people who can live blog their cruises, but I don't want to spend a moment doing that onboard. I have to wait until afterwards.
