Doubletree Biscayne Bay or Hilton Downtown?

I know these hotels are near each other. I can get both for about the same price. I preferred the intercontinental but it is sold out. If these two which would you recommend?  We plan on either using the oriole mover to go to Bricknell for dinner or take an Uber to South beach. It’s a girls weekend cruise and my cousin is meeting me at the hotel for her first cruise and first time in Miami but we only have one evening!

6 of one half dozen of another. Double Tree is right on Biscayne Bay. You won't go wrong with either.

Not to hijack this thread, but can you see the cruise ships from either one in the morning?

You could go to the hotel website to see pictures. In either case you will pay for a room with the view.

You can see the port from some rooms at the Doubletree - I do not belie there are any port views from the Hilton.  Doubletree also offers a great pool area.  Your call!

Doubletree is on a nicer property, and has the opportunity, if you pay, for Bayfront views where you can see the port. 

 

Both locations in the general scheme of things are identical otherwise.

Stayed at the Doubletree GH Biscayne Bay pre-cruise twice this year. Love the location; nice large room and bath, mini refrig & microwave and great views! Offers a convenient shuttle several times a day to POM for only $10 pp.
