Upgrade Drinks Package

Hi all, Does anybody know if its cheaper to upgrade to premium before you go or is it the same price once on the ship.

Hi rickpo it was the same when we last cruised and, in our opinion, well worth it but everyone has different ideas. Enjoy.

Think the last time I checked, it was £10 more on the ship.

It will never be cheaper on the ship.  If they did that no-one would ever buy it before they went.

Think you have one option of a reduced price when booking on board and that is when you are arriving late and book the next day so you don't pay for the day you couldn't use anyway, used it once😉

Be cautious if considering a drinks upgrade. We upgraded on our last cruise on Discovery 2. We were seduced by the promise of several IPAs as well as several whiskeys, and nice gins. We were Very disappointed though as there was just one IPA available, one nice whiskey and from recollection, two gins. We felt absolutely cheated, and consider that the upgrade was mis sold to us as the items promised were simply not available. TUI blamed “supply” issues, and that may well be the case, but we should have been informed of supply issues before we parted with our money in order that we might have been given the opportunity to make an informed decision. From my understanding, our experience is not uncommon, and the numerous items listed on the upgrade package are rarely if ever,  all available.

That was a bit naughty of them and very disappointing for you, fortunately in all the years we have taken the AI we have never had an issue,  I like the Duvel and draft real ales and would not be happy if not available.😂
