I really like those Freestyle machines.  I guess they’re worried about Covid.

From what I've been told by the managers of the cafeteria at my work, those Freestyle machines are a maintenance headache.

...

Slightly off-topic ... anyone know why they don't have fountain soft drinks at the bars? Seems like that's a better option than cans. Less expensive, and no cans to store and get rid of.

Easier for staff to hand over a can, easier for guests to grab a soda for later, less spillage as guests carry a soda with them.

They never had them. Has nothing to do with Covid.

I honestly don't like them because you always get residue from whatever concoction the person in front of you made.

I think aspartame in club soda might work????

Cheers and bon voyage

Bo I’m amazed by your comment.  Everyone knows that club soda should never be mixed with aspartame.  It only belongs in coffee.

I have considered stopping my use of aspartame on board due to the effect on other passengers.

Oh wait.  That’s vaping.

I like them too. My guess is that it has more to do with catering to the demographic of their customers. Many more kids on Royal = easier access and more choice of sodas on their ships.

Little kids love having a soda with 719 flavors added.

You could always vacation on a cruise line that offers Freestyle machines

Celebrity has never had them so it has nothing to do with Covid 🙄

We are a bit touchy today.  Did someone take away your vape pen?
