BruceMuzz Posted July 9, 2023 #2 Share Posted July 9, 2023 I call them McLipLids. My family has a chain of Charcuteries. They produce many varieties of hot dogs. If you saw the parts of the cow that go into a hot dog, you would never eat one.

CntPAcruiser Posted July 18, 2023 #5 Share Posted July 18, 2023 Growing up in northeastern Wisconsin it was either wieners or hot dogs. With the German, Belgian, and Polish immigrant influence, there were many delicious sausages to be had, and our local small grocery store included a butcher shop and smokehouse that made their own natural casing smoked wieners. We thought of hot dogs as the fake pink tubes of (hopefully) meat.

CGTNORMANDIE Posted July 22, 2023 #7 Share Posted July 22, 2023 I love hot dogs but I’m very aware of the ingredients and especially the salt content. 18% is my limit. I do have some favorite brands and they vary between mixes of beef and pork or all beef.
caribe123 Posted August 3, 2023 #8 Share Posted August 3, 2023 Hot dogs, when I was younger, many days ago, I loved the hot gigs you got at the golf course clubhouse. Yes, the strangely pink ones that had Death written all over them!!!
Rare Harters Posted August 3, 2023 #9 Share Posted August 3, 2023 I'd call it a hot dog. I don't particularly like the taste of the sausages, though, so rarely order one when visiting the States.
