How many sides are you allowed with the Free Specialty Meals perk?

An SDP meal in a la carte restaurants includes 1 appetizer, 1 soup or salad, 1 main course and 1 dessert (does not apply to cover charge restaurants or Food Republic, Pincho Tapas Bar and Sushi, where a meal includes any 4 menu items). No sharing or to go orders permitted. - T&C

Generally 2, though it might depend on the restaurant.

In Cagney’s one appetizer, one soup or salad, one entree , 2 sides , and dessert. In Bistro same but the sides depend on your entree order. Different sides for each entree.

Seems to be server dependant, even if they say 1 order 2 if that's what you want, it's a pain for them to charge it so often don't bother.

For Cagney's and Palomar it is 2 sides. 

 

For Ocean Blue, the entrée specifics how many sides comes with the dish (some have an included side, some do not).

Really, are they hardcore about this? I don’t do do dessert, I can’t give mine to my kids? Can I have 2 appetizers instead then?

Sharing apps and deserts are ok.  They don’t want you ordering a steak and splitting it with someone without a credit.
