Chardonnay Char Posted July 28, 2023 #1 Share Posted July 28, 2023 Here is my question. It says you can check in 45 days before sailing. Obviously the earlier you check in, the better chance you have of getting an early boarding time. I leave in the Eastern time zone. Can I check in starting at midnight on day 45? Does that mean people in the UK, who are about 5 hours earlier than us, get a chance to check in before me? Thanks
wrk2cruise Posted July 28, 2023 #2 Share Posted July 28, 2023 It generally opens at midnight in the timezone of the embarkation port. So if 45 days was midnight tonight Eastern, the UK would be 5 am tomorrow.
gdpups Posted July 28, 2023 #3 Share Posted July 28, 2023 Just checked in for my September cruise from Boston, I’m on the West Coast so with an 3 hour difference was able to check in at 9 pm the night before.
upwarduk Posted July 28, 2023 #4 Share Posted July 28, 2023 Last year Check In opened at midnight the day AFTER the advertised one (UK).
Rare Jim_Iain Posted July 29, 2023 #5 Share Posted July 29, 2023 Generally it opens exactly at Midnight (port of departure time). I often check in at 9:00 PM PST for a departure from Fort Lauderdale. To check the exact date look at checkin on the app and will show the exact date.
