Luggage tags

The problem with Air Tags is that they basically says that your bag is on the ship/at the port. Air Tags work by pinging off iPhones near by,,,, once people go into airplane mode, there will be limited pings,,, if your bag is lost. It won't say "Your bag is at Cabin 826". 

 

Do you  have soft or hard sided luggage?

Does it matter?

The one situation they don’t work in is if your have them inside an RFID protected travel bag. I just tested it with my RFID pouch I use to protect my cards and passport etc and it’s blocks the signal of the AirTag as well.

That shouldn't be a surprise.

That doesn't concern me.
