BOSTON - Size limitation for Walk-On luggage?

In Boston is it  possible to walk on with luggage? Anybody know the size limitation of the passenger baggage inspection process?

If you can carry it onto an aircraft you can carry it on in Boston. I have taken a standard rollaboard that I have brought on HAL in Boston twice with zero issue. Of course backpacks, handbags, etc are fine. 

 

A larger suitcase, which I imagine would cause issues on the gangway and in the ships public spaces before your stateroom is ready, needs to be checked pier side. 

 

Personally I was asking myself both times why I didn't just check the carryon pier side-- with staterooms not ready for a couple hours it was a pain to have with me.

It would have to fit through the security screening machines.  They are similar to the ones you would find at an airport.  Large luggage will not fit through.

I took a large (21" W x 14" H) suitcase through the security scanner at Cape Liberty.  They seemed to be the same size as TSA scanners.

Thanks for the info. Mine is 15" by 9" by 21". We are boarding this Thursday at Boston Black Falcon Terminal. Hopefully that works for carry on.

That size should easily fit.  I had a port stop there recently, but didn't take notice of the scanners.
