Excursions with a toddler

Hi all, we'll be taking our 1.5 year old for a 7-day Caribbean cruise this November with stops in Orlando & Nassau. Does anyone have any insight on booking excursions with transportation and transfers with a toddler that is typically in a car seat? Do we need to bring/rent a car seat, are they provided, or do we have our little one sit on our laps for the ride?

You will most likely not be in any vehicle that supports a child seat. Plan to hold on your lap.

Recommendation from a 75 year old Grandmother of 8 who was recently in Nassau is to..... travel with the "baby's" car seat with you and don't consider for one moment travelling with your toddler on your lap!!

Rarely are seat belts available to install a car seat.

We rented a car in Port Canaveral with a car seat and drove to the zoo. In Nassau we usually take the bus.
