Can't Check In

What happens if your computer is afoul and you can't checkin on line. Can you just show up at the pier with your paid receipt and check in? Thanx.

I’m thinking their system is down right now.  I just tried checking something and can’t get through.

You can check-in with the app on your phone as well. If you still can't get it done, you can also call an RCI rep or your TA if you used one. I would not wait until arriving to port to check-in. Maybe that's just me. If the check-in system is down, try again later.

Something that happened to us once:  We were supposed to be able to check in on, oh, let's say June 1st.  Tried to check in, failed, failed, failed, failed.  Midnight on June 2nd it magically opened.  Had to be a mistake in the computer. 

Will this happen again?  I don't know, but the point is that a computer glitch is likely.  Keep trying.  And, as someone else suggested, switch it up and try with your phone.

Yes, you can. They want you to check in, but not everyone will remember to it.  Some cannot do it.

 

Sometimes Royal is still trying to sell last minute bookings on ships within 3 days of sailing.  At that point on line check in has closed, so anyone who books that late cannot check in.  Been there, worked out fine.
