Cruising with a birth certificate question

Typically, as far as the cruise line is concerned, if the first name and DOB match between DL and BC, then you are okay.  CBP does recommend that "bridging documents" (marriage license, divorce decree, name change order) be brought, as without them, there might be a need for secondary screening, with possible delays in disembarking.

You did not mention when your departure is, but you could bite the bullet and gat a passport.
