We will be headed to Sheraton casino hotel on a day pass the last day of our S. Caribbean cruise.  Check in time 11am.

Suggestions for best time for brunch or go to Galley instead?..I don't think room service is available that morning.

We normally do brunch at the Wake with a 9am reservation aiming to disembark 10-10.30. It’s not usually that busy and can relax with waiter service for coffee, juice and pasties rather than dealing with finding your own table and stuff at the Galley.

Latest time you can schedule to leave the ship is 10:45, but about 10:30 they start the "get the heck out of here" announcements.  We allow about an hour for brunch, which gives us plenty of time to return to our cabin for a quick tooth brush or otherwise, grab our stuff, and get off.  We prefer a nice "sit down and be waited on" as opposed to our one time in The Galley on the last day when the server didn't come over, we tried going to a station and were told to sit down and wait for a server, and I finally saw a supervisor and notified him that we were being ignored.  Would much rather do RD or Wake.  So, unless we are in a hurry for some reason, we get a 9 or 9:15 reservation and have an easy morning.

Love a late brunch at The Wake, Razzle Dazzle does a great brunch too. We just let our room steward know we were packed up and going to have breakfast. The Galley was hectic on disembarkation day the one time we tried.

Something odd about our upcoming December cruise, no way to book breakfast on disembarkation day. Most of the rockstars were locked out of booking online when reservations opened so I opted to wait for red glove to reach out the next morning. Tons of spots open for TW and RD every day of the cruise except for the last day. Even the agent we spoke to was surprised nothing was available. Easy enough to book when we get onboard.

That is pecular.  The only brunch I booked in advance for our November cruise was that last day because I wanted to be sure we got it.

Exactly, the only day I wanted to schedule. It will work out since they hold spots for booking after boarding.

Well, I'm certainly going to book The Wake and R-D for breakfast during our cruise...on our last day, the Galley will do just fine.

Oh, we'll do the brunches a whole lot more on our cruise; I just didn't book them in advance....don't know yet when I'll want to sleep late!   A nice sit down brunch on the last day is a lovely way to end things.

Razzle Dazzle has been our 'go to' of late for debarkation breakfast / brunch.

I was in at midnight during this week to make my reservations, got everything I wanted, and was able to make my brunch reservation for debarkation day at The Wake. Razzle Dazzle was also available for brunch that day, but had already set that up for an earlier date and dinner the first evening.

@Wildcatllamas  I just went on my app and was able to make reservations on departation day for two at Razzle Dazzle for every time slot from 7am to 9:30am, you might want to try again

Got an email yesterday morning from Virgin saying that it was time to do my reservations, LOL, so glad for you guys giving me the heads up 😊 I poked around not long after I got the email, and there was very little left. I know they open up another portion of the reservations on embarkation day, but I do feel good knowing I've got that all sorted out.

@TheDarkestBlue just opened the app and it was sitting there in a lovely white limbo. And then the clouds cleared and I was able to book the Wake at 9:15. Woo hoo. Due to American messing with my flights I don't depart out of Miami until 3:45 pm so need to kill some time before I head to the airport. I will go to their club at the airport so I can be comfortable once I get there.

The ability to book brunch the last morning finally opened up at the at the 45 day mark, we are rockstars this sailing. Lots of folks having app issues this month.

Lots of people have app issues on a very regular basis.  I noticed that VV has changed some of their booking pages on the website.  These seemed to be working fine before the changes, although they do give a more detailed look at what you get with your cruise.  So why is IT playing around with an already functional website rather than fixing the app that has a history of not working over the past 2 years?

Glad you got your reservations,.

I had to reload pages that went into the great white several times, because they kept timing out. Just before midnight I forced a stop on the app, and reloaded it just in case of any residual crap. I used both my phone and tablet at the same time, and though the selection process is super awkward. Something I did notice which helped, was around 20 minutes before midnight, the app populated with the remaining dinner times, I guess post Rockstar rsvps. So I used that to chart out what I wanted and see what was available, so when midnight came I was ready.

Since we're going to be on in December, do they decorate the ship for the holidays? Wondering if there will be lots of elves around? 🧑🏻‍🎄

Lat year, we disembarked on October 30, but the FB group did a costume night and the crew seemed to love it.  This year, I'll be cruising over Halloween, and the schedule shows 3 large Halloween themed events as well as "scary" or "spooky" themes applied to other activities that are typically part of the lineup.  Sorry, never cruise over Christmas, but I'd expect at least some holiday themed alterations to normal events.

When I was on Scarlet back in December 2021 there were no decoration up at that time. I did a back to back for 9 days and nothing. I missed that because on Princess and NCL they do decorate the day after Thanksgiving.

I think they are figuring out how to handle various holidays, which to recognize vs. which to ignore, etc.  Last year on Valiant, there was nothing before or after 10/31 with  a rather small recognition of Halloween on the day, but they learned by our actions on the previous cruise that people wanted to make a big deal of a pseudo holiday.  But those who are offended by a Halloween celebration are not likely to be cruising Virgin at any time.  Christmas is always tricky--they have to figure out whether  doing a non-religious celebration will offend anyone.  Should they just do a "winter" themed celebration?  Should they add some green baubles to their red theme and not specify what is being celebrated?  It is easier to celebrate the octopus wedding and stay away from any potentially sensitive areas, but that might also be offensive to some,

No room service on the final morning. We were mega rockstars last year and had hoped to have a leisurely room service breakfast - but couldn't. We ended up in the Galley.

For our sailing in 4 weeks I've booked The Wake.

There was nothing wrong with our Galley breakfast on our first cruise, but we had plenty of time and it wasn't really what we wanted.  RD was a little more crowded than normal on our last disembarkation day, but it was still lovely to sit, have a chance to say good bye to some of the crew who had been so wonderful, etc.  You are correct that room service is not available.  I would highly recommend scheduling brunch as soon as you can!

FWIW, on our cruise, RD on Bimini day was a bit disorganized.  It was a different crew than we'd seen before...the bacon was done badly, the server didn't have a clue what he was doing, etc.  I don't know if this was a training crew or where they came from, but I won't do RD on Bimini day again.  We've been told that the RD crew is responsible for lunch on Bimini, so they are busy getting things off the ship, getting set up for lunch on the island, etc.
