If someone is a no show will the taxes be returned and more importantly will the price for the remaining passenger be adjusted to a single passenger with singles supplement?

Yes the fees and taxes will be refunded to the card that paid them.

 

No the price will not be adjusted once you board.

Just don't mention the other person will be a no show when you check in to be safe. The taxes will automatically be refunded along with prepaid gratuities.

So if I understand you correctly the cruise fare which was paid by passenger number 2 will not be returned but taxes and fees will be.So therefore there is really no need for them to readjust the fare  since they received the entire cruise fare based on 2 passengers. Correct?

It doesn’t make a difference whether you mention it or not.

But, you will not receive the extra point per night for being solo.  You need to change the booking to Solo before the cruise.

 

But that may subject you to a price change to a higher cost.
