All they have from me is one page that was redacted using my PDF Expert program saved to a pdf file.  If they dont like it I will go the route you stated, but as far as I know there is no way to unredact what I sent.  I guess time will tell.

You are surely more trusting than I am! Good luck!

When I began to use the stockperks app it wanted me to check a box that if after giving them my account name and password, they would take no responsibility if anyone used the info and my funds were stolen.  No way am I giving them access to my accounts for some OBC.  This may make me think

hard about my long association with Princess and we are long time Elite cruisers.

Unfortunately, this no longer works. Princess has taken one of the few things that worked very well and broke it.

After receiving the previous email saying they were processing my request, I just received a new email saying they weren't.

Email from Benefit, Shareholder (PCL) <sbpcl@princesscruises.com> at 5:41 am on Tuesday November 28:

--------------------------------------------------------

Good day,

Thank you for your request for an onboard credit as part of the Carnival Corp & plc. Shareholder Benefit Program.

Carnival Corp is implementing a more automated onboard credit request process in partnership with Stockperks.

Please go to www.stockperks.com/carnivalcorp for all details about the program and how to apply for your onboard credit via the Stockperks app.

Thank you for being a CCL shareholder!  We look forward to welcoming you aboard.

Kind regards,

Russel R.

Commercial Compliance Support

-------------------------------------------------------

I just submitted my request using StockPerks, and it was rejected with the following response: "Onboard Credit requests cannot be submitted for cruise dates after July 31, 2024. Please submit your claim for an earlier cruise date. If your cruise is after July 31, 2024, please check back in May 2024 to submit your claim."

This is a major change from Princess. Not only is the app a much more difficult process than an email and a process with real privacy concerns, but they have taken away the ability to use onboard credit to book shore excursions in advance. By the time I can submit my request using the app, some shore excursions will sell out and others will go up in price.

Why does Princes take one of the few things they were handling very well and break it?

The previous way didn't work very well at all.

This new way, I can submit for a shareholder OBC in less than 30 seconds on the app. How is the old way better than this?

All please beware of StockPerks and their hideous and unethical business practices. If you do not link your brokerage account or provide the entire brokerage statement they will try to harass you. They want people to desperately just provide them with their personal and financial information.  StockPerks is a data mining company that makes money by feeding off data and personally identifiable information of others and selling them to marketing companies. I am also not aware how they may use/missure financial information. They do not even have a customer service number to call them. They will also send you emails from generic or anonymous email IDs. I understand we all want to get our OBC's but be careful. I sent them redacted statements with very little to none personal and financial information and they are giving me a hard time. Beware this is not a company that you want to share your information with.   Please reach out to your brokerage firm and request for a letter verifying you holding of the only the selected cruise line stocks. Every brokerage firm will provide you this. It will list out the number of shared you hold of the said company and the date of confirmation (which is usually end of the previous day). Once you get this letter, redact your address and brokerage account number and then send it to StockPerks. DO NOT SEND YOUR ENTIRE BROKERAGE STATEMENT NO MATTER WHAT YOU REDACT. Based on their desperation of getting the entire statement I am concerned that may have a way to scrub to remove redactions and access other information you do not want them to have. Additionally, I got the clarification that StockPerks is falsely advertising that Royal Caribbean and Norwegian are also using them. As of now it is ONLY CARNIVAL that is using StockPerks to cut costs and reduce their in-house employees that are dedicated to processing these requests. Shame on Carnival for the lack of proper information and falsely sending out emails recommending to their shareholders that it is "recommended" that they link their brokerage accounts to StockPerks when it is not at all needed.

You don't need to do this.

Manually upload your most recent holdings certificate with the account number redacted.

All you share is your name and the number of shares you hold on the current date.

How are they harassing you?  Just curious. We've manually submitted the exact same holdings certificate we previously sent to Princess, and it was applied within three business days.

How do they have a way to scrub redactions?  Not possible.

Of course they want to reduce their in-house employees to save money and streamline the process.  What business wouldn't?

I have never submitted my brokerage statement ever even under the old process. Across all 3 cruise lines a confirmation of holding from the brokerage firm within the last 6 months has been considered sufficient. However, StockPerks rejected it and wanted my brokerage statement. They said redactions were okay. HOWEVER I DO NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE SHARING MY BROKERAGE STATEMENT REDACTED OR NOT. After several back and forth emails including them lecturing me on how finance and brokerage firms work (everyone except one employee of this 3rd party is based in the US. The rest of them are in the UK, Uruguay etc.) they had to accept the simple letter from my brokerage firm confirming my holding as of end of day yesterday.

I do not know if it is absolutely impossible to scrub redactions or not. With the advancements in technology, AI, etc. I am not comfortable relying on redaction.

I don't care of cost reductions by any company as long as it is not at my expense.

Then the scrubbing redactions comment is not called for, as it can't be done WHEN redactions are done correctly.

They've streamlined the process.

What did you previously submit?

You are not sure why people are concerned with protecting their personal information? Great to know that you are confident a redaction cannot be undone. I have to do what I am comfortable with which is only sharing that much personal information as needed and nothing more. It appears this has been a topic for you to argue versus respect the concern of others and how easily sharing more data than necessary can be avoided. I guess there is not much to say here! Take care!

That is what we shared, the minimum needed.

Pro tip - no AI or whatever will be able to get an account number from your submission if you use an X acto knife to remove the account number. 😉

Same with me. How ridiculous they want you to log into your entire private account to access one stock. I tried the former procedure and they sent me the link to StockPerks. I can’t believe they need your entire account  information. No way, I’m selling the stock it’s worthless to me now!
Others opinions please! Thanks

I got approved sending a screenshot of only the page containing # of shares that I redacted all personal information from

Ok but with StockPerks I was directed to log into my entire account, there was no option to just attach the one page showing the Carnival shares I own. Not happy at all with this new procedure.

See post 119 and 187 for the steps how to submit your brokerage statement, without logging into your stockbrokers account, using the ALIVEA option. The only personal information you need to provide when initially registering with StockPerks is your Name and Email address.

I'd rather wait the (typically) two days.  Not a fan of being forced to give information to a third-party.  Would be okay as an OPTION for those that don't care.  Not okay when it's mandatory.

Completely agree with you. I am even ready to wait for a week...lol. The security of my personal data is more important to me than convenience per say!

Absolutely. Additionally now they have updated the App and you are not even asked to choose a brokerage firm - Fidelity, Alivea etc. Please do not provide more information that needed in the App

Submit it as a fidelity, it goes into single file upload mode
