Butler "meet and greet"

It's not actually the Butler, however, in certain categories of QG suites a Bell Boy 'may be' on hand to welcome & escort. The Butler is usually visible in the corridor on arrival  to welcome and introduce him/her self .

Edited to add;

The reference to the Bell Boy refers to the 'arrival lounge' ( shoreside) however, I haven't witnessed  this since pre pandemic

On embarking the ship, our Butler meets us and escorts us to our cabin. That might change the next time we embark but we'll have to wait and see if QA has the same Butler meet and greet.

Must be/have been a QM2 thing as we have never had the assistance of a Bell Boy, shore side.

I understand that, however, occasionally a crew member in the Bell Boy livery is sometimes seen in the arrival lounge for escorting a QG guest.   As happened to me in 2015 & 2017 suite 10 001 QM2.

Never had a problem finding my way around a ship without assistance yet, and I don't intend starting now.

On QE2 it was much harder to find the cabin, and the assistance should have been useful, except twice we had people who had less idea where to go than I did.
