Firedobber Posted November 8, 2023 #1 Share Posted November 8, 2023 I have heard that if booked in certain grades of stateroom your butler meets and greets on embarkation and shows you to your stateroom. Firedobber wonders if this is correct and if so for which grades of stateroom? Assuming Q1 only?
Rare Victoria2 Posted November 8, 2023 #2 Share Posted November 8, 2023 and Q2 too on QV. Others will be able to tell you if more cabins have Butler met passengers.
Bell Boy Posted November 8, 2023 #3 Share Posted November 8, 2023 (edited) It's not actually the Butler, however, in certain categories of QG suites a Bell Boy 'may be' on hand to welcome & escort. The Butler is usually visible in the corridor on arrival to welcome and introduce him/her self . Edited to add; The reference to the Bell Boy refers to the 'arrival lounge' ( shoreside) however, I haven't witnessed this since pre pandemic Edited November 8, 2023 by Bell Boy

That might change the next time we embark but we'll have to wait and see if QA has the same Butler meet and greet.

I understand that, however, occasionally a crew member in the Bell Boy livery is sometimes seen in the arrival lounge for escorting a QG guest. As happened to me in 2015 & 2017 suite 10 001 QM2. BigMac1953 Posted November 8, 2023 #9 Share Posted November 8, 2023 On QM2. a Bell Boy escorts Q1 - Q4. The rest of the Q's have to join the plebs and fend for themselves. Serves them right.

On QE2 it was much harder to find the cabin, and the assistance should have been useful, except twice we had people who had less idea where to go than I did.
