Fort Lauderdale to Port of Miami

We’re returning from a Celebrity cruise and thinking of doing a quick MSC cruise which leaves on the same day. What’s the best way to get from one cruise port to the other and what do we do with our luggage? Is this a crazy idea to attempt or easily doable?

I would disembark the Celebrity ship as late as possible (probably around 9:30) and call an Uber or Lyft for the 45 minute (more or less) ride to Port Miami.  Arriving at 10:30 or so you shouldn't have too long before boarding begins.  I know MSC assigns boarding times but we've only sailed in their Yacht Club where they aren't even checked.  If not sailing in the Yacht Club, you can ask on the MSC board if MSC enforces boarding times.

Looking at taking a taxi (not Uber or Lyft) from FLL airport to downtown Miami hotel.

Taxi Finder says $70-$85 depending on traffic. We fly in Sun March 10/24 @ 3pm.

Anyone else take a taxi to downtown Miami and what was the cost ?

$75+ sounds about right - depending upon where your hotel is located
